Inside the house

A house is thirteen trades.

Scroll and the house comes apart into the work that holds it together. Tap any piece to open the specialist for it.

Why one contract

Every trade, one written contract.

Most remodels go wrong between the trades, not inside them.

The roofer leaves the gutters loose. The painter covers a sill that was already soft. The floor goes down before anyone checks the subfloor. Each crew did its own job, and the house still leaks.

When one company holds the whole contract, those handoffs are ours to get right. We sequence the work so each trade leaves the next one a clean start, and we look at the layer underneath before we cover it.

You sign one contract with one price. You get one schedule, one person to call, and one warranty that covers the work as a whole.

If your project only needs one trade, go straight to that specialist above. Same company, same license, same people.

One contractA fixed, written price for the whole scope.
One scheduleTrades in the right order, no gaps between them.
One contactTim or your project lead, start to finish.
One warrantyIn writing, for the work as a whole.

Example: kitchen plus floors

Two trades. One contract.

A kitchen and new floors touch each other at every cabinet base. We'd run both together so the floor goes in at the right moment. Start with a free consultation and we'll draw the whole scope.

How we work

The whole job, planned before it's built.

Five steps, the same on every Urban Edge job. Every one of them ends with something you can hold.

  1. 1Free consultationWe walk the house with you, measure, and look at what's under the parts you want changed.
  2. 2Plans in writingA written list of the work for every trade, and drawings where the job needs them, so nothing is left to "we'll see."
  3. 3Fixed priceOne price in writing. It only changes if you change the plan, or if we find hidden damage and you approve the fix first.
  4. 4Permits and buildWe pull the permits, order the work, and keep one schedule across the trades.
  5. 5WalkthroughA final check together, then your written warranty and the project file.

Questions people ask first.

Short answers. Call if yours isn't here.

Do you handle plumbing and electrical?

We manage it. The work itself is done by licensed plumbers and electricians, with permits, under our contract. You still have one company to call.

Do you get the permits?

Yes. When a job needs a permit, we apply for it and schedule the inspections.

What if you find hidden damage?

We stop and show you photos and a written price. We fix it only after you approve, and it's added to your contract in writing.

How do I see my quote and pay?

You get your own private web page with your quote, contract and invoices. You can approve and pay there, and every document stays in one place.

How do I check your license?

Search our name, Urban Edge Outdoor Construction LLC, on the state's Construction Contractors Board website. It shows our bond, insurance and any complaints.
